Hazardous Readers

Eye Com offers two models for Hazardous Locations. The EC 8100 is a Class I, Division II, Group D environment reader; meaning a location where flammable liquids or flammable gases are handled, processed or used, but in which the liquids, vapors, or gases will be normally confined within closed containers or closed systems. The EC 8500 is a Class I, Division I, Group D environment reader; meaning a location in which ignitable concentrations of flammable gases or vapors can exist under normal operating conditions.

The Eye Com 8100 features lenses which read virtually all microfilm formats, a long lasting halogen lamp for bright, easy-to-read image, a unique floating lens system for constant focus over the entire film area and fan-less convection cooling for absolutely silent operation.

Eye Com 8500 Hazardous Reader

The EC 8500 is a microfiche reader for use in Class I, Division I, Group D hazardous environments. The power supply (mounted outside the hazardous location) outputs intrinsically safe power to be used by the reader.
