These carriers are available in motorized or manual versions, however, for the M cartridge and ANSI Clip the carrier is always motorized.  Manual threading of the leader is required.

Roll Film Attachments for our microfiche readers!

Our Readers can now be fitted with a microfilm carrier to accept various types of microfilm.  There are carriers that will accept both 16mm and 35mm microfilm in open reels, M cartridges and ANSI clips.

These carriers are available in motorized or manual versions, however, for the M cartridge and ANSI Clip the carrier is always motorized.  Manual threading of the leader is required.

Readers 4601-01, 4601-02, 4601-03, 4601-A3, 4601-11, 456D-800 and the 456D-800E can accept the add-on carriers by simply removing the fiche carrier and installing the rollfilm carrier.

Genealogy researchers are finding that using an Indus Reader with the available microfilm carriers is very convenient way to conduct their research in the library or at home.

Those users who have fiche readers can convert their reader to read microfilm as well as microfiche.

What type of Microfilm do you have?  Most readers are designed to read microfiche but many fiche readers have options available to view  roll & cartridge film. To view aperture cards properly an Engineering Viewer is recommended. .......>  Print Lens Template

Below is a lens chart that will help you determine the proper magnification lens you need to view  your Microfiche.

Count how many images are going across your fiche, then how many going down, use a fiche that is full of images with no empty areas.  See the chart below to find your required lens size.
